CELEBRATION PHOTOGRAPHY
Engagement celebrations, pregnancy and maternity, milestones and the moments worth marking properly, captured the same way as everything else I shoot. Real connection, real reactions, nothing arranged for the camera. Candid, documentary-style photography, focused on what it actually felt like, not just what it looked like.
-
Engagement celebrations, pregnancy and maternity sessions, and milestone sessions, based in Queenstown, available to travel nationally and internationally.
-
No posing to get right, no forced smiles, I stay close and quiet, and let the session unfold naturally. What you get back is real, not performed.
-
Get in touch with a bit about what you're celebrating, we'll have a quick chat, and a retainer locks in your session. From there we plan locations and timing together, then I photograph it exactly as it happens.
-
Celebration Session for a shorter, focused hour. Extended Celebration Session for more time and a bigger gallery. View packages here.

Lake Hayes: Still, mirror-like water and snow-capped peaks in the background, reliably beautiful light in the early morning
Moke Lake: A bit of a drive out, but that's exactly why it works, quiet, private, and rarely has anyone else around
Lake Johnson: Secluded and low-key, tucked away from the main roads, a good option if privacy matters more than a big backdrop
Bob's Cove: A stony beach on Lake Wakatipu along the Glenorchy road, sheltered, easy access, with the lake stretching out in front of you
Homestead Bay: Tucked into Jack's Point, golden grass, lake frontage, and views out toward the Remarkables, with easy access if you're staying nearby
Cecil Peak: Sweeping views over Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown, reachable by helicopter for something genuinely once-in-a-lifetime
The Remarkables: Dramatic alpine backdrop, accessible year-round, minimal hiking required
Kelvin Heights: A short water taxi from town, with views toward Walter Peak and the Remarkables, easy logistics, big payoff
Arrowtown: Historic streets and golden autumn colour, a softer, storybook feel

Do you travel outside Queenstown? Yes, nationally and internationally for the right day. Travel is quoted separately based on location.
What happens if the weather turns? Queenstown weather changes fast, and honestly that's part of what makes the light here so good. We'll always have a backup plan for your locations and timeline.
Do you help with locations, permits, or timing? Yes, this is part of the planning conversation before your day, not something you have to figure out alone.
What if we're camera-shy? Most couples are, honestly. Because I'm not posing you or directing moments, there's nothing to "get right", just be together, and the awkward part usually disappears within the first few minutes.
