Hey, I’m Ally. I’m based in Queenstown, drawn here by the slower pace of life and the beauty of the outdoors that comes with living in a place this unique. It’s a place that naturally fuels creativity and adventure, and where I do my best work. Check out what my weekends look like here.

I come from a marketing background and bring that thinking to my photography, combining it with an emotive eye. I focus on capturing moments that feel real and intentional images that tell a story and actually serve a purpose for brands, campaigns, and experiences.

Photography started as a way to document time with friends. I found myself picking up my camera more often, drawn to moments that might otherwise be missed. That instinct for emotion and storytelling grew, and with the encouragement of those around me, I decided to pursue it seriously.

That decision led to Ally Grace Creative, a place for considered, story-driven imagery that connects people, place, and brand.

What I do

I work with brands on commercial photography, focusing on natural, real-world imagery that shows products and people in use, not staged setups. The aim is to keep things simple and honest, reflecting how the brand actually exists in its environment.

I also photograph weddings, elopements, engagements, and maternity sessions. Across all of my work, I focus on candid moments as they naturally happen.

Life has been busy and it feels like it’s been a minute since being out and about in the mountains. So here is a roundup of memories that make my heart so very happy.

The most magical day spent in Mt Aspiring where the water looked so refreshing my camera decided to go for a swim. This was the only photo that survived, but it was a day filled with good food, swimming in glacial water, manifestations and strawberry
Summer in the South 🍃
Jurien Bay was a special little stop. Roos everywhere, a huge stingray cruising the shallows, and even a dolphin passing through the bay. Just over two hours north of Perth, but it feels much further, white sand dunes, thick bush, and beautiful coast
Bremer Bay quickly became a favourite stop. A rustic little coastal town with white sand and that electric blue water the south coast does so well. We stopped to chat with a few locals and they pointed us toward an absolute gem of a spot where we end
A day spent in Denmark that left us speechless at its beauty. We could have spent all day baking on these rocks and using them as diving boards. I’ll be dreaming about this place for a long time
After a long day on the road pulling into this place was something special. A windy soft sand track led towards the beach with the sun starting to set, lighting up the horizon with the salt water spray. We made it just in time to get on to the beach
After dreaming of doing a South West roadie for the longest time ever, it feels incredible to be finally here. Long stretches of red dirt framed road with lush green Australian bush lead the way while we head along the coast. Roos, cows and even emus
