important information

These terms apply to all bookings with Ally Grace Creative. By accepting a job and paying your deposit, you agree to these terms in full.

  • Booking & deposit
    A booking is only confirmed once your deposit is paid. Deposits are 50% of the total quoted price, non-refundable, and hold your date, taking it off the market for other enquiries.
    The remaining balance is due before your final gallery is delivered, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    Payment
    Invoices are sent via Hnry and can be paid by card, bank transfer, or scan to pay. Payment terms and due dates are noted on each invoice. Late payment may delay delivery of your gallery.
    Once a job goes ahead, the agreed amount is payable in full, even if you have a change of heart about timing, styling, or anything else that isn't covered as a separate policy elsewhere in these terms..

    ‍ Cancellations & rescheduling
    If you need to cancel, your deposit isn't refunded but can be put toward a future booking within 12 months, subject to availability.
    For weather-dependent outdoor shoots, we'll reschedule at no extra cost if conditions genuinely aren't workable. This is a judgement call made on the day or the day before, not a personal preference call.
    If I need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, injury, or another unavoidable circumstance, you'll get a full refund or a rebooked date, your choice.‍ ‍

    Travel
    Shoots outside Queenstown may include a travel fee. This is worked out per job based on location and time involved, and quoted upfront before booking.

    Delivery
    Turnaround times are quoted at booking and vary by season and job size. Galleries are delivered digitally via online gallery. Sneak peeks aren't guaranteed but I'll usually get a couple out within a few days if the schedule allows.

    Copyright & usage
    I retain copyright over all images. Your package includes a personal use licence, which covers printing, sharing, and social media.
    Commercial use, resale, or use in advertising requires a separate licence, get in touch if this applies to you.
    Images may be used for my own portfolio, website, and social media unless you'd prefer otherwise, just let me know before your shoot

    Editing
    All delivered images are edited in my standard style. I don't provide raw or unedited files, and heavy edit requests outside my usual style (face swaps, major body edits, etc) aren't something I offer.

    Model release
    For commercial or brand shoots, a signed model release may be required before images are used publicly. This will be sorted separately if it applies to your job.

    Liability ‍
    I carry my own equipment and gear insurance. I'm not liable for circumstances outside my control on the day, including weather, venue issues, or third parties.
    If something happens to prevent delivery of images (equipment failure, data loss), I'll do everything possible to recover files, but liability is limited to a refund of fees paid.

  • A non-exclusive license permission to use the photographs for specific purposes outlined in the agreement. This means that while the client has the right to use the photos for their intended purposes, such as personal use, social media sharing, or displaying on personal websites, the photographer (ally grace creative) retains ownership of the images and can grant the same rights to others.

    For business clients
    -     Company website and online marketing materials.
    - Social media marketing campaigns.
    - Email newsletters and promotional materials.
    - Internal presentations and reports.
    - Company blogs and articles.

    For portrait clients
    -     Personal use (e.g., printing for personal albums or frames).
    - Social media sharing (e.g., posting on personal accounts).
    - Display on personal websites or blogs.
    - Educational purposes (e.g., in presentations or reports).
    -Non-commercial promotional materials (e.g., personal newsletters or flyers).
    - Non-profit organization publications (with proper attribution).
    - Personal artwork or creative projects (with proper attribution).
    - Personal greeting cards or invitations (e.g., for weddings or events).
    - Personal digital wallpapers or screensavers.
    - Personal portfolios or resumes (e.g., for showcasing personal achievements or experiences).

  • Acceptance of the booking by the client confirms their agreement to the terms outlined above. By proceeding with the booking, the client acknowledges and accepts all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
